This shape was on our minds ever since we started KORUA in 2014. The positive outline combined with a full rocker makes for an incredibly unique ride riding experience, mainly focused on powder. In its element, the Obelix offers a completely new and fun sensation with solid performance. But as you can imagine, this performance is somewhat limited on groomed slopes. The addition of a slight hint of sidecut makes it more controllable on-piste, thus at least enabling you to cross some groomed slopes to reach the next powder field. The Obelix is a true concept board for the experienced and open-minded rider – an absolute must-have for every quiver collector and powder junky.
OurFULL ROCKERoffers the most float of all our board profiles. It’s currently only being used for two shapes in our Concept Line – the Obelix 57 & Blindgänger 61. Combined with its positive sidecut it makes for a unique riding experience in deep conditions.
This chart shows the range in what each size can handle. It is never our intention to categorize riders and their preferences. Our philosophy of snowboarding is to try new shapes, lengths, widths, and to keep an open mind for alternative riding experiences; however, we do have some limits to consider so that your board will work as it was designed to.
Your weight plays a major role in how the board will flex, and your shoe size will affect toe and heel drag when turning. The below size chart is for reference only, as our recommendations may vary depending on your stance and riding ability.
